Saturday’s 3-1 defeat at Metz, which saw the gap between themselves and
17th-placed Evian extend to 11 points. While their chances of securing
safety are now close to none, the club will at least aim to leave the
bottom of the league before the end of the campaign.
The task will not be easy this weekend as they welcome an in-form Monaco
side, who are on a 4-game winning streak away from home in Ligue 1 –
all of them against struggling sides – who will intend to bounce back
following their exit from the Champions League in midweek, despite an
notable performance on the European scene.
